Wayne Rooney Biography - Wayne Rooney (born in Croxteth, Liverpool, England, October 24, 1985) was an English footballer who plays as a striker. He is currently playing at Manchester United and use the back number 10. He also played for the England national team, and use the number 9.

Wayne Rooney started playing football in the team U-19 club Everton in 2000. Wayne Rooney began to attract attention when playing in the FA Youth Cup in 2002 when Rooney scored 8 goals in 8 games. 

Wayne Rooney started his professional career with Everton in 2004. Two years later, Rooney moved to Manchester United with a transfer worth 49 million pounds, and makes Rooney as the most expensive player in the country.

Wayne Rooney joined the English National Team at age 17 and became the youngest player ever to play in the English National Team. Rooney then also became the youngest goals corer in the history of the English National Team qualifier against Macedonia in Euro 2004.

Career in Everton
